Description

A traditional Ukrainian bread made from rye and wheat flour and naturally fermented with lactic acid starter cultures. It has a rich, hearty flavour and real traditional character – perfect with borscht, salo or our pâté.

Pack: 650 g.

Ingredients: rye flour, wheat flour (second grade), drinking water, salt, natural lactic acid starter cultures.

Allergens: gluten (rye, wheat).

Good to know: vegan – no meat, fish, milk or eggs.

Storage: fresh, not frozen – keep in a cool, dry place.

Available in our shop in Aalsmeer, or add it to your home delivery order together with your frozen dishes.

What does delivery cost?

€9.95 per order, minimum order €100. Pickup in Aalsmeer or at Lila Bakery in Rotterdam is free and has no minimum.

When will my order arrive?

On the next delivery evening for your town (18:00–22:00), unless that route is fully booked. Check your town with “Do we deliver to your city?” – your date is confirmed by email.

How do the frozen dishes arrive, and how do I store them?

Our frozen dishes arrive in cool bags. Put them straight into the freezer – they keep for at least two months (see the date on the package). Fresh dishes like borscht and products from the Grocery corner don’t go in the freezer – follow the storage advice on the label.

Is your meat halal?

Our beef, veal, lamb, chicken and turkey are halal meat. We also make dishes with pork, and some chicken and beef recipes contain pork lard for extra juiciness (for example chicken pelmeni, chicken kotlety and chicken Kyiv). So please look for “halal” in the product description: those dishes contain no pork at all.

Do you have vegetarian and vegan dishes?

Yes. Many of our dishes are vegetarian – varenyky, syrnyky and vegetable dishes. Vegan: varenyky with vegetables or fruit fillings and holubtsi with rice and mushrooms. Check the webshop for what’s available now.
